Kouri
I feel
that Kouri's main influence in character is Aeris from Final Fantasy VII. I really liked her character, and took her costume
into consideration when debating what sort of clothes that I thought Kouri might wear: modest, casual, and feminine. Kouri's
personality is also based on Aeris; thoughtful, a protector, and curious to a fault, although I've made Kouri a tougher character
when pushed, but at the same time made her shy and a little more level-headed, so I guess there's also a little of Yuna from
Final Fantasy X inside her, since she is only strong when supported by others, but also very brave.
Haydn What can I
say? Haydn's based on my brother, in a way. I used a few of his mannerisms and tactics which he tries to use against me, and
made Haydn use them in the same way on Kouri. Their sibling relationship is based on a true story! I thought about Zidane
from Final Fantasy IX, for his ability to befriend everyone he meets, and his will to help out others; and secondly Wakka,
from Final Fantasy X. Wakka's idiosyncratic and rather humorous way of behaving to serious situations was just perfect! There's
also a sense of Zell from Final Fantasy VIII about him, regarding excitability and gullible-ness.
Kage
The main inspiration for Kage's character was Squall from Final Fantasy VIII. That's why
Kage is serious, thoughtful, a disciplined and powerful fighter, but also the most haunted and antisocial character ever!
I also took a pinch of Amarant, from Final Fantasy IX, into consideration when making Kage's character, for he was a merciless
hunter and a solitary figure, and then topped him off with the biggest nasty streak known to man! Haydn and Kage share a familiar
relationship to Amarant and Zidane. His looks are also based on Squall, but I gave Kage's looks a little more definition,
giving him that dark, frozen impression.
Holt
Holt has no association with any Final Fantasy character with appearance, not directly, for his looks came straight
from the person he was originally based upon, a friend of my brothers, but I changed and altered his physical appearance until
it suited his character. His character is from two sources, this first being Red XIII from Final Fantasy VII for his thoughtful
and usually calm nature, and the second being Vivi from Final Fantasy IX. Vivi is an inquisitive character, much like Holt,
who it polite to, but wary of strangers. Much like Vivi, Holt also is quiet, thoughtful character, but has the potential to
be fuelled by pent-up fury.
Canace
Canace's soul inspiration was Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII. Both being loud, proud, arrogant thieves to be trusted
about as far as you can throw them. I also took a few of Canace's mannerisms from Yuffie, but her lazy-slur slang just
developed with her character, though her use of foul language came from Barret from Final Fantasy VII. I made Canace just
a little more intimidating and insulting than Yuffie, which makes her a stronger character. The link between them is the most
definite of all. Although, Canace's looks were adapted from Rikku out of Final Fantasy X: a mischievous face and fine, blonde
hair.
Raizella Looks-wise, Raizella looks
most like Quistis from Final Fantasy VIII, but once again, I made her stand out by giving her loud-coloured hair, though inspiration
for her personality once stemmed from Garnet out of Final Fantasy IX. I made a lot of changes along the way, but that was
where it started from. I made Raizella prouder of her royal heritage than Garnet, but also made her a weaker person when faced
with turmoil and danger. Like Garnet, Raizella tries to blend in, is generous and kind, and has a knack for getting herself
into trouble, but her passion for the opposite sex is something entirely original!
